THEREFORE GO...

and Make Disciples Of All Nations

Matthew 28:19

Therefore Go and Make
Disciples Of Every Nation

Our Mission

We are a mission organization based out of Omaha, Nebraska that focuses on fulfilling the directive given to us in Matthew 28:19 “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”  We work with and support our brothers and sisters in Christ around the world to build God’s Kingdom in addition to other special projects.

  • We believe that the Holy Spirit can equip anyone to be a missionary or raise up support for our brothers and sisters in Christ
  • We help initiate relationships with called partners that help spread the Gospel.
  • We lead by serving alongside our called partners.
  • All funds raised support mission projects.
  • Board members serve as volunteers with no paid staff and minimal overhead administration.

Concordia Partnership

MM28 is partnering with Concordia Lutheran Schools of Omaha to help four native Chinese students attend Concordia in the fall of 2022!  These students previously attended international style boarding schools in China that were run by Christian organizations. These schools are being forced to close, or move locations, due to recent government policies. One of these schools was established in Mainland China by the Hong Kong Lutheran Synod. MM28 partnered, in the past, with the Hong Kong Lutheran Synod and sent numerous mission teams there as well as long term missionaries.  That work can no longer take place due to numerous factors, including increased government restrictions within Hong Kong.

These students are special in that they are all children of Chinese missionaries and church workers. Since these parents do not have large incomes, they are very challenged to meet the financial commitment that is required to send their children abroad to study and live. The parents are struggling as they don’t feel they can, in good conscience, send their children to public school in China where they will be indoctrinated with communistic beliefs and traditional Chinese “religions” (ancestor worship etc). The children already have a faith walk and they desire to live with Christian families in Omaha.  They are all academically strong and have high English levels since their classes in China were taught in English. The board of MM28 has decided to work to raise funds to make a Christain education at Concordia Omaha possible for these students.

We have recently met our goal and raised enough funds to bring all four students to Omaha for this school year!  Praise the LORD and thank you to those who answered the call to support these students. Some of these children will join the Concordia family at the Jr. High level, this means we will need to raise funds for the next 6-7 years in order for these students to stay in the US and study at Concordia.  We boldly ask our fellow believers to consider making a donation to help us pay for these student’s tuition, fees and host family stipends. The cost of just one year of school as an international student is between $25,000 and $27,500 depending on the grade level. The parents are all able to pay some amount and have even borrowed funds from their family and friends. Concordia has also graciously given the students a 45% reduction in tuition, however even after these reductions these families need help. Each year we will need to raise approximately $65,000 to fund the student’s studies and living expenses.

Please help us show these Christian families that their brothers and sisters in Christ care for them, and their children!  MM28 sees this as an opportunity to carry on our mission work without even leaving Omaha!

Thanks so very much!!!

Long Term Missionaries

We recruit, train, place, and support missionaries for periods from six months to several years in long term positions with churches and/or schools in the mission field. Depending on the location missionaries serve in there may be a requirement for a four year degree or ELL certificate. We interview applicants of all ages.  If you speak English and love both Jesus and His children, then you could be the perfect fit.

Short Term Missionaries

We recruit and train teams and individuals to serve on short term mission trips in schools and/or churches abroad.  This option is open to youth groups, adult church teams, families, or just a handful of individuals looking for a way to share Jesus’ love.  We ask that team members be at least 14 years of age unless they are traveling with their parents.  We are looking for people who want to grow the kingdom one relationship at a time.
